Protection is a Villain
That extraordinary, vibrant and courageous woman you knew, was once admired by many. Several admirers in particular, often referred to as Connection, became the well to her deep rooted mind. Connection knew vaguely of her vulnerability, however found her radiant energy to be most inspiring and continued, on the smoothest of days, to be most intrigued. Connection would look upon her, call on her, and often invited Love and Friendship to play. They would adore the woman's imperfections and regarded each with ridiculous amazement while pursuing intention to explore where she drew such unusual pleasantry. The deeper the exploration, the more intriguing the universe seemed through the eyes of Connection. A developing and extreme awareness grew of delicate pathways and darkness, resulting in an unforeseen introduction. Upon that path, Connection met Protection. They were distant cousins that were only superficially aware that the other existed and it was quite rare for one to fully become conscious of their unknown relative. Connection gave way to the strength of Protection and listened well to his cautionary tale. Connection grew fearful and believed the woman's beauty and intrigue to be quite dangerous and her pathways may become all consuming. Connection was advised that this intrigue may turn quickly to a well of darkness from which escape would not be possible. Connection gave space to to Protection to takeover. Protection decided to introduce Connection to his brother, Fear. At this point, sadly, the delicate rooted dark pathways, being no longer traveled, became weeded and entangled in the scary teasing of reality. The deep rooted pathways, initially entangled, then became diseased. Protection and Fear saved Connection from harm. Protection ensured Connection could remain a lower grade constant by suppressing it with the presence of Fear. In doing so, however, there would be no further growth, no roots, no depth and no glorious knowledge of unknown places. Connection too, would wither. Protection, while often perceived to be Connection's hero, became the villain to that beautiful woman's story as well as the stories of so many others. Connection continued to exist throughout time, reaching superficially all they could touch, seeking more but remaining under the villains influence, while Protection, in all it's success and glory, sustained the status quo and rode gleefully into the sunset of lives that were only minimally experienced. And - that extraordinary, vibrant and courageous woman you once knew, withered and succumbed to the secret battle.
Protection claims many lives. So does Fear.
