Hidden in Glitter

Hidden in Glitter

She wears it well and grooms the shawl.
She needs it and she keeps it all.
She makes her way and blinks not twice,
From place to place, they say she's nice.
And underneath, is where blurred eyes
And tears, and scars and lullabies.
Dark purple circles, black some say,
Tell stories of the night from day.
The torments of her spiraling mind
Exist within, in front, behind.
But before presented for all to see,
She showers in her sparkled glee.
She wears it well, and grooms her shawl
And hugs it tight until nightfall.
